I started Surf The Earth in 1990. I had spent the previous 5 years either skiing, biking, or surfing some of the best spots in the world. This included 5 winter seasons in the rockies, extended stays throughout the South Pacific which included the French Polynesian Island, Cook Island, Fijian Islands, Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, Hawaii, and a large part of the Pacific Coast of Mexico. While traveling, I met many other travelers and most of us realized the importance of good quality gear. So, I started Surf The Earth with the goal of creating high quality surf gear that would stand the test of time, gear that you could count on. We began making board shorts, t-shirts, hats, and stickers ; selling to surf shops. By the mid 90's, our distribution grew to over 500 retailers and multi- international distributors.

Big Marsh Guide Service specializes in sight fishing and the light tackle pursuits of trout, flounder, redfish, sheepshead, tarpon, sharks, and more in the Georgetown, S.C. and Winyah Bay area. There is year round fishing for trout, sheepshead, and redfish, whereas flounder fishing is best from the springtime through the fall. Tarpon and shark fishing is best during the late summer months.

Since 1995, Lowcountry Tours has taken thousands of passengers on Winyah Bay and up and down our many rivers. We are the largest tour boat operator in Georgetown with a 56 foot pontoon boat that allows comfortable seating for 49 passengers.
Our boat is safety inspected each year by the United States Coast Guard. Our captains are Coast Guard certified and all crew members are trained in First Aid and CPR. Both captains and crew have multiple years of nautical experience and constantly monitor the weather for pop up storms and threatening weather. Safety is a primary concern for all passengers.
